David Bowie RCA USA Press Kit for the Lodger album together with copy of the RCA USA LP with a promo track listing sticker and "Not For Sale Demonstration" imprint on the album sleeve. This is the initial release of this album in the USA. RCA AQL1-3254.
I obtained this press kit and album from a fellow collector. I stored it in a click-seal sleeve and stored it away.
Condition of the RCA USA press kit: Very Good+/Excellent. The press kit folder is in very good condition other than, unfortunately, three age spots between Bowie's legs on the front. The four black and white glossy photographs are in excellent condition. The eight page stapled bio is in excellent condition with just a couple of age spots. The staple has a left an age mark on the inside of the press kit folder (which is typical for these press kits of this vintage). See the photographs.
Condition of the vinyl: Very Good+/Excellent (Visual Inspection). The vinyl is glossy and shiny. There are some minor signs of age however. The labels are clean and there are no spindle marks. I never actually played this copy myself. It was probably played by others. I simply placed this copy in a click-seal sleeve and stored it away.
Condition of the sleeve: Very good+. The gatefold album sleeve is in very good to even excellent condition. This promo copy of the sleeve has a white "Not For Sale Demonstration" imprint stamp as well as a track-listing sticker on one side of the gatefold sleeve. There are no tears, seam splits or major flaws. Each corner has minor, tiny creases. Adjacent to the bottom of the sleeve on front and back are crease marks or indents that indicate that at some stage this album was stored in one of those old fashioned "record racks" that held 25 or so LPs. They are noticeable when the sleeve is held up to the light. The inside of the gatefold sleeve is clean and glossy.
Condition of the inner sleeve or "bag". Very good-. The inner sleeve is clean and free of marks or creases. One side of the inner sleeve has a 3cm seam split and also a 4cm tear at the opening.
