You are viewing the following listing:

Artist: Mott the Hoople

Format: Framed and fully signed & framed tour poster.

Production year: 2013.

Rarity: super rarity which was the property of Terence Dale Griffin (‘Buffin’), drummer and founding member of ‘Mott the Hoople’. In January 2009 it was confirmed that Buffin and the other four original members of Mott the Hoople would reform for three 40th anniversary reunion concerts in October 2009, and due to popular demand, the reunion was eventually extended to five shows.

This poster has been beautifully signed by the classic band members including:

·        Ian Hunter – vocals, guitar, piano, harmonica, bass (1969–1974, 2009, 2013, 2018, 2019). Ian has signed in thick gold gel-type pen.

·        Mick Ralphs – guitar, vocals, organ, synthesizers (1969–1973, 2009, 2013). Mick has signed in medium thickness silver gel-type pen.

·        Verden Allen – organ, vocals (1969–1972, 2009, 2013). Verden has signed in medium thickness silver gel-type pen.

·        Pete Overend Watts – bass, vocals, guitar (1969–1979, 2009, 2013; died 2017). Pete has signed in medium thickness silver gel-type pen.

·        Martin Chambers – drums, percussion (guest in 2013). Martin has signed in medium thickness silver gel-type pen.

Prior to this concert being announced, it was confirmed that because of the poor health of Buffin, his place for the concerts would be taken by Martin Chambers, drummer of The Pretenders, though Buffin did appear at the encores.

Condition: this medium-sized poster on very thick paper is in superb condition with no defects to note! I have no hesitation in grading this super rare item as excellent plus (+) 9/10 condition, with all five signatures in superb condition.

Dimensions: 51cm x 66cm estimated (framed). This item will be shipped in a cardboard roll.

Provenance:  purchased as 118 via auctioneers’ ‘Harper Field’ in October 2023, as part of a large consignment of property for sale and offered by Buffins family, who sadly passed away from Early-onset Alzheimer's disease in January 2016. Redacted COA will be provided to buyer as proof of authenticity.
