very hard to find early Andy Warhol LP record album cover art with light blue background for Prokofiev’s “Alexander Nevsky-Cantata, Op 78” (Columbia ML 4247 masterworks LP long playing microgroove, monaural), Eugene Ormandy conducting The Philadelphia Orchestra, Jennie Tourel, Westminster Choir
The LP cover (copyright 1949) is in Good+/VG- condition with some light water staining on the front along the top and somewhat down along the left side near and on the illustration (see photos) , also some light water staining marks along the top on the back cover, otherwise no splits, tears or cutouts and just some very minor bump on the upper left front corner.
As for the condition of the vinyl: This mono deep groove early issue has quite a few light/medium marks and a couple of larger ones. Visually I'd grade it a Good+/VG- and that is how it plays - but having just listened to it all they way through, I can say it is definitely quite enjoyable despite on and off surface noise. The real value of this offer, of course, is the rare early Andy Warhol cover art which is in good+/ VG- condition.
The label is VG+ blue and silver Columbia masterworks earliest edition XLP 1629 and XLP 1630
NO reserve. I ship worldwide, Good luck!
