The LP : Labels :
Classic UK Red and Silver unboxed DECCA earliest Press labels!!! Both sides are GREAT with minimal signs of age, NO writing, NO stickers, and NO tears whatsoever!!! Just has some light spindle marking from general use over the years!!! BRILLIANT for a 52 year old record!!! Both must grade overall as Very Good!!!
Record : Visual -
Spectacular Original 1964 UK early Press Vinyl!!! Nice bright, clean and shiny as if it was just pressed!!! Fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks GREAT with NO really nasty scratches, groove wear, or nasty deep scuffs whatsoever!!! The only blemishes are just some light wispy sleeve traces, a few mild hairlines and age marks, and just a small amount of cosmetic non-sounding and unfeelable scuffs (only visible in direct angled light) mostly caused from where it has sat or been removed from it's cover over the years!!! Of course, none of these ULTRA light blemishes really interfere with play AT ALL thanks to the deeply pressed quality!!! BRILLIANT for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall as Very Good minus!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)
Record : Audio -
Thankfully, it plays BRILLIANTLY with fantastic mono blast and clarity!!! It really sounds great with NO hops, hisses, sticks OR skips!!! Only (like pretty much all records) has a touch of low level static in places such as on the run in grooves and between some tracks and only a small amount of light ticks here and there on very rare occasions, a hint of frequency static on very rare occasions and just a touch of mild "bluesman's fag" atmospheric crackle in few and far between places such as on some of the quieter sections and between tracks, but it really doesn't overshadow the music AT ALL!!! (it's much more soft and atmospheric rather than the sound of bacon frying!!!) I'd even argue it gives it added soul!!! I tend to bring it down by listing every single flaw I noticed, but this remains a hugely enjoyable and clean sounding listen - The music is TRULY loud and clear with that bass, depth, warmth and clarity you can only get from UK 1st Press vinyl!!! AWESOME for a record of this age and rarity!!! Must grade overall audibly at least as Very Good+++!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)
Sleeve :
Original UK 1st press fully laminated sleeve complete with original inner!!! IMPOSSIBLE to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular LP!!! This one is NOT, and looks AWESOME, especially considering the nature of these notoriously fragile sleeve!!! NO graffiti, NO splits, NO writing, NO bad marks and NO tears, and still ULTRA strong and solid after all these years!!! Only has some mild signs of light ageing such as just some light creasing and a mere hint of a record imprint, just a little general surface glazing from where it has sat between sleeves over the years (truly, truly minimal and absolutely nothing drastic at all), a touch of denting to the four corners which basically ALL vintage LP's have, and POSSIBLY (just to be sure!!!) one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all!!! And that's truly about it!!! I tend to bring it down by listing every minor negative I can possibly find, but this remains an AWESOME example of this iconic sleeve, and a TRUE rarity to find one as beautifully presentable as this - most have been virtually destroyed or are just about being held together, but not this one!!! It remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit and unspoilt, and even the spine remains ultra strong, solid, unsplit, and 100% readable!!! Must grade overall at least as Very Good+++!!! (graded STRICTLY to the UK RRPG standards, not trashed or overgraded AT ALL!!! Customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me)
Summary : A BRILLIANT sounding example of this INCREDIBLY RARE classic original 1964 Mono UK 1st Press LP!!! Hard to find in ANY condition, but SERIOUSLY RARE TO FIND ONE AS SONICALLY AWESOME AS THIS!!! YOU MAY NEVER GET THE CHANCE AGAIN, so don't miss out on this scarce opportunity to own a true piece of 60's/70's music history. Thanks for your time, happy bidding!
