Up for auction is a clean original first pressing of the Van Morrison album Saint Dominic's Preview, originally released on WB records (BS 2633) in 1972:
-Guaranteed original pressing, NOT recent reissue -Original Olive Green WB labels -1A/1A first pressing etched in deadwax
-Original paste-down cover -Original insert w/ liner notes -Original WB 1972 dated paper inner sleeve -No UPC/bar code on cover
-Vinyl comes in poly-lined audiophile inner sleeve
Note: This is an ultra rare 1A first pressing--and is very hard to come by. Most "originals" you'll find do not have this 1A designation in the deadwax.
Condition: Cover
is beautiful, no significant signs of wear or
age. No ring wear or seam splits. Corners are sharp, not bumped, just a tiny hint of rub. Spine clean and titles clear. Back is super clean. Looks much like it did when pressed in 1972.
Grade: Excellent Plus (EX+)
Vinyl
is also beautiful, still retains its original glossy shine. No
apparent scratches, but under strong light, one faint superficial paper/shadow scuff shows on Side One from
taking vinyl out of inner sleeve a couple times -- does not affect sound quality. Very nice sound quality, clean and clear. Spindle holes are clean,
unmarked. Looks like it was played only once or twice previously. Beautifully preserved copy. Grade: Excellent (EX)
Combined Shipping:
Yes, I offer significant combined shipping discounts. Just ask!
International Shipping:
Because
of unreliable postal services, I ship using eBay's Global Shipping
Program only, no exceptions. It protects both the buyer and seller
against loss or damage.
How I Pack Your Records:
I
remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to
packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for
padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping
box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
100%
satisfaction guaranteed, no risk buying. My 100% positive feedback
allows you to buy with confidence. Returns accepted, no questions
asked.
About Me:
-I have been a record collector for over 40 years and a seller on eBay for over 20 years.
-I consider myself a professional, not someone who is selling records he found at a garage sale like many on eBay.
-I try to grade accurately -- beware of sellers who claim they grade "conservatively" -- rarely is that the case.
-I don't just give a record a grade, but I also explain why I give it the grade that I do.
-I explain why I describe a record as "original" or a "first pressing" -- most records on sold on eBay as original are NOT.
-I visually grade my records, and sometimes spot-test them for audio quality -- I can't listen to them all the way through.
-Every stereo system is different, and what sounds good on mine may not sound good on yours. If so, return it.
-Every seller makes mistakes not matter how much experience they have -- record selling is NOT a perfect science.
-If I make a mistake, or the record isn't what you expected, return it for a full refund -- and I will pay for return shipping.
-I have 100% positive feedback for a reason -- and I strive to keep it that way by being accurate about what I sell.
