Up for auction is a very nice original pressing of the David Bowie album Heroes, originally released in the U.S. on RCA/Victor (AFL1-2522) in 1977:
-Guaranteed original 1st pressing, not reissue -Original and correct Black RCA labels
-STERLING mastering stamp in deadwax -Original inner sleeve w/ liner notes -Rare fan club insert
-NOT record club pressing
Note:
Original U.S. pressings of Heroes have the AFL1-2522 catalog number--most copies sold as "original" on ebay do not have this proper number--they are reissues.
Condition: Cover looks very nice, with only very light signs of wear or handling. No ring wear on front or back, nice original shine. Corners are sharp, with light rub. Seams are nice, intact, no splits, just some light wear along one corner. Factory cut out top edge left. Attractive original cover. Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+)
Vinyl also looks very nice, still has its original shine. Side One looks very clean, no marks, but under a strong light, Side Two does show a couple light marks or abrasions on Track 3 and Track 4--hard to see, but they do cause light repeating soft ticks during the instrumentals--not too distracting, and certainly doesn't ruin the listening experience, which is nice. Otherwise a very nice clean sound quality for an original pressing! No marks around spindle holes. Looks like this record has maybe been played only a couple times previously but handled with care. Grade:
Side One: Excellent (EX) Side Two: Very Good (VG)
Combined Shipping:
Yes, I offer significant combined shipping discounts. Just ask!
International Shipping:
Because
of unreliable postal services, I ship using eBay's Global Shipping
Program only, no exceptions. It protects both the buyer and seller
against loss or damage.
How I Pack Your Records:
I
remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to
packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for
padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping
box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
100%
satisfaction guaranteed, free returns on all albums. My 100% positive
feedback on rare vinyl allows you to buy with confidence.
About Me: -I have been a record collector for over 40 years and a seller on eBay for over 20 years.
-I consider myself a professional, not someone who is selling records he found at a garage sale like many on eBay.
-I try to grade accurately -- beware of sellers who claim they grade "conservatively" -- rarely is that the case.
-I don't just give a record a grade, but I also explain why I give it the grade that I do. -I explain why I describe a record as "original" or a "first pressing" -- most records on sold on eBay as original are NOT. -I visually grade my records, and sometimes spot-test them for audio quality -- I can't listen to them all the way through. -Every stereo system is different, and what sounds good on mine may not sound good on yours. If so, return it. -Every seller makes mistakes no matter how much experience they have -- record selling is NOT a perfect science. -If I make a mistake, or the record isn't what you expected, return it for a full refund -- and I will pay for return shipping. -I have 100% positive feedback for a reason -- and I strive to keep it that way by being accurate about what I sell.
