"SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SYMPONY ORCHESTRA" RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISC FROM THE FREDERAL WORKS AGENCY, WORKS PROGRESS ADIMINISTRATION.  ONE COMPLETE 15 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAM ON THIS 16 INCH, VINYL, ONE SIDED, 33 1/3 RPM DISC.  THIS DISC WAS ISSUED TO RADIO STATIONS FOR BROADCAST ONLY AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.  VERY RARE!   

"Works Progress Administration" radio program #22 from 1942 featuring The Southern California WPA Symphony And Chorus under the direction of James Sample with Negro chorus under the direction of Gilbert Allen.  This is a special Christmas Program.   Songs include "Silent NIght" Alberta Franklin soloist, "Three Blind Mice" & "Pop Goes The Weasel" from The Children's Suite by Felix Mills, "Polka From The Golden Age" ballet by Shostakovich.  Program includes a Christmas message from guest speaker Jean Hersholt.  15 minutes
