The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid.  The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's.  An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored.  These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay.  With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await.  My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner.  I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed.  I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find.  All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
Impulse laminated gatefold STEREO vinyl LP A-7 (RVG Stereo stamped in dead wax both sides) - released 1961
NM vinyl may have been played once or twice previously.  Shiny and glossy with no play or handling marks.  One small spindle squiggle each side label.  Test played once on NAD C555 turntable revealed full clean stereo sound.  Laminated gatefold cover a strong VG +.  Straight broad spine and seams.  Small stubs each corner, small wear spots upper lower spine corners, light shelf and ring wear.  Interior has light edge spotting consistent with age.  Overall - a beautiful package.  Great Blakey in the Blue Note tradition with stellar lineup including Lee Morgan, Curtis Fuller, Wayne Shorter, Robert Timmons and Jymie Merritt.  Van Gelder engineer.
