Client Satisfaction

I treat everyone as a client rather than a customer.  Clients are long term associates that continue to patronize someone who is fair, trustworthy and honest regarding the wares being presented whereas customers are one-time purchasers of goods and never seen again.  I strive to create a positive buying experience for all.  As I would like to have only five star ratings, you should have a five star experience as well.

Young Rascals Groovin' Atlantic SD-8148 NM/NM

The Rascals move into the era of psychedelia with a vengeance on this album -- their best of their entire history -- which also retains a soulful core and adds a bit of a Latin beat. The original album on Atlantic was a monster seller thanks to the title track, practically the group's signature tune (number one on the pop charts, number three on R&B), but "Groovin'" was only one small strong point on the album of the same name. "Find Somebody" marked a return to the group's garage band sound with a psychedelic twist, including phased fuzztone guitars and some catchy lyrics and choruses. "How Can I Be Sure" is the second-best-known song off of this album, but it has a fully successful companion piece, "I'm So Happy Now," which applies similar instrumentation to very different (but pleasing) effect. Gene Cornishs' "I Don't Love You Anymore" could be the finest pop song in the band's repertory apart from "How Can I Be Sure," with a delectable guitar part, scrumptious melody, and delicious chorus. "You Better Run" was more than a year old when it turned up on this album, and its garage band sensibilities are a bit more primitive than those of "Find Somebody," but it's a great piece of rock & roll. The band turns in one superb Motown cover, "A Place in the Sun," done in a surprisingly subdued fashion. And for a finale, Cavaliere and Brigati turn in an exultant period piece, "It's Love," whose soaring lyrics are matched by guest artist Hubert Laws' flute -- alas, his presence would point the way toward less effective, more disjointed work in the group's future, as they moved more deeply into psychedelia.

Questions

I will respond to any and all rational questions in an expedient manner.

Packaging

Records:  Albums that have been opened are prepared by removing the inner sleeve and record from the jacket. Records are gently cleaned using a Nitty Gritty Model 1.5 machine (with the exception of “lots” which are hand cleaned).  They are placed in a heavy duty polyethylene sleeve (with the exception of “lots” which may or may not be placed in a polyethylene sleeve).  Custom made 200# test corrugated mailers are used with two corrugated stiffeners and two sheets of ¼” bubble wrap sheets for protection and cushioning for record counts up to three, beyond that 200# test corrugated boxes are used.  45 RPM records are prepared the same way as albums with the exception that if it has the original sleeve, the record is placed in a heavy duty plain sleeve and the factory sleeve is placed in the poly sleeve separately. There is a charge to help offset the cost of materials.

Collectibles:  Item size and type dictate packing materials.  Small items (pinback buttons, pocket calendars etc.) will be packed in padded envelopes with corrugated stiffeners.  Larger items will be packed in appropriate sized corrugated boxes with cushioning (cushioning varies from shredded or balled paper to Styrofoam peanuts or bubble wrap depending on item).

Shipping

All shipments are via USPS (United States Postal Service) unless package size prohibits in which case I use UPS (United Parcel Service).  Record Albums are sent via media mail class in the United States unless requested otherwise.  45 RPM records are sent either via first class or media mail in the United States depending on the weight of the item and size of the package.  Items other than vinyl records are shipped either parcel post or priority at the clients’ option.  All packages destined for delivery outside of the United States will be sent via Priority mail only to safeguard both client and seller.  I will combine shipping where practicable to reduce costs.

I only ship to valid PayPal addresses, if your Ebay address and your PayPal address are in conflict you must resolve the issue prior to shipment.

I am not responsible for duty costs or other costs associated with the shipment of your item.  I also do not control delivery times or customs delays. If you have an issue with shipping times and/or costs, I recommend you have a conversation with your local postal authorities.

If you are from outside the United States, please contact me regarding other shipping available instead of USPS Priority Express.

I will not falsify Customs declarations in any way, shape, manner or form.  Not only is this illegal, it is against eBay policy.  Falsifying Customs forms is a criminal act with severe penalties.  If you request altered information on a Customs document you will be reported to Ebay for appropriate action.

Invoice

The shipping calculator is infamous for its’ error prone ways.  Please wait for my invoice to ensure correctness and completeness.  This is especially true if you are seeking to combine items to save on associated costs.  Also, insurance is encouraged on every item and is required on all items selling for $25.00 or more (this includes items with a combined value of $25.00 as well).

Payment

I accept PayPal and other authorized forms of payment per eBay criteria.  Payment is expected within three (3) days after auction closes.  If you are bidding on auctions set to close at a later time, payment is still required for current wins, shipping costs will be factored in once all auctions have completed.  I will hold items for a maximum of ten (10) days for combined shipping.

Bidders that have less than a 10 rating, or who have been with eBay less than six (6) months must find an alternative to PayPal for payment.  If you elect to pay by this method anyway, your payment will be refunded in full.

Returns

Returns are accepted only if the item received does not substantially conform to the original listing description elements.   Shipping and associated costs are to be borne by the purchaser.  Additionally, returned items must be packed in original packing or better.as presented and described in the original listing. 50 years of collecting has taught me that errors or oversights in descriptions can occur. If a client elects to keep an item they dispute to be as described I welcome the opportunity to work with you to resolve any conflict amicably.  If a return is inevitable the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs (both directions) and the item I receive must be the same item in the same condition as when it left my hands and shipped the same way.  Additionally, all returned items must be shipped in the same package I provided or the same quality level.  If an item is returned, buyer agrees to go to conflict resolution to resolve any and all claims against me.
