Cover MINT-
Correct fully laminated first UK issued earliest sleeve with embossed logo on front, embossed stars on back, and no printer credits. Having been kept in a protective sleeve, it remains in astonishing condition for a 38 year old cover. The laminate gleams like a polished mirror, and the embossed spaceship is absolutely pristine. No sticker removal damage, writing, indentations or other marks. Firm and crisp opening edge. Strong spine is totally flat and unsquashed, with clearly legible text, looks as new. The corners are all super clean with no traces of tip rub. All colours and inks remain in outstanding condition. No powdery white ring wear, and absolutely no hint of ring press at all, not even any trace of record shape. Just two of the tiniest spider lines over the edge of the spine, but that’s all. The merest of fluff build up where the laminate stops short on the sides, which is typical of these sleeves – they are all like this. Please examine the photos for detail. I would be happy to send more. A guaranteed final upgrade cover.
Inner EX-
Original issue card inner with the curved corners, full lyrics, top edge thumb notch, and marked “GL 76”. Bare minimum of creasing and handling marks. One tiny (2 inch) piece of clear tape has been carefully applied to the middle of the bottom edge (odd because it does not appear to be split). Otherwise would be a strong “EX” inner.
Labels EX+
Original Jet logo labels are superb, smooth and flat, rich colours on both sides, no marks of any kind, no cracking around the spindle hole, and just the absolute merest hint of a few light spindle traces when angled towards a strong light.
Vinyl MINT-
This first pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. It appears to have had one or two careful plays only. The merest hint of just a couple of very light sleeve removal traces when angled to the light, and that’s all. The LP has been fully and attentively play tested on a Project/Ortofon/NAD system with very discerning Bayerdynamic headphones. It sounds awesome! - no scratches, skips, pops or jumps, barely any discernible static even on the lead-in grooves, truly fantastic audio from start to finish. Final upgrade standard.
Any questions – please just ask.
SEE MY FEEDBACK AND BUY WITH CONFIDENCE
I have included the maximum of 12 high quality photos, taken in good light with a decent camera and from a variety of angles, so you can properly judge the detailed condition of the cover, inner and labels for yourself. Any significant marks or defects on these aspects of the LP will be clearly visible in the photos.
My own gradings are based on the standard record collector guidelines (see below).
I am not a record dealer, I am a 48-year old North London vinyl enthusiast re-creating my own private collection from a wide range of sources (having foolishly sold all my original LPs at a university record fair in my twenties!). I enjoy researching albums, and I am selling a small number of them on ebay, not to rip anyone off but just as a Sunday afternoon hobby. Please do ask if you want any more information about this LP before bidding.
In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your purchase I will be very happy to give a refund (minus return postage) if the record is returned to me in the same condition within 14 days. Please message me immediately to resolve any concerns that you have and I will do my level best to help - I have 100% positive feedback and I would like to keep it that way. Thanks.
The LP will be securely packaged. It will be sent in a new polythene sleeve, together with two additional thick card inserts (one either side), set inside a new dedicated record mailer envelope. The vinyl will be separated from the cover to prevent any ring marking in transit. The package will be secured with thick tape and marked with additional large “FRAGILE” taped stickers twice on both sides.
Thanks for looking, and Happy Bidding!
POSTAGE
I send all my LPs tracked & signed. This provides added security for both buyer & seller.
My listings end on a Sunday evening. I am happy to combine LPs into one package if they are won on the same day.
Note that most single LPs will weigh around 500g. Double LPs & single LPs with gatefold sleeves will weigh a little more.

RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE GRADING GUIDE
MINT: The record is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
