TOM WAITS, BLUE VALENTINE, GERMAN ASYLUM VINYL LP, K 53 088, ALT/BLUES ROCK
Tom Waits – Blue Valentine
Thomas Alan “Tom” Waits (born December 7, 1949) is an American singer-songwriter, composer and
actor. He has a distinctive voice, described by critic Daniel Durchholz as
sounding “like it was soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few
months, and then taken outside and run over with a car.” With this trademark growl, his incorporation of pre-rock music styles such as
blues, jazz, and vaudeville, and experimental tendencies verging on industrial
music he has built up a distinctive musical persona.

Condition:
(as Record Collector's grading system)
Vinyl side 1:
good
(has a few noticeable marks with one causing light clicks on the second half of
the last track but nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, it’s still a good listen, plays with no jumps or sticks).
Vinyl side 2:
good
(has a few noticeable marks and plays with some clicks/crackle here and there
but nothing that really spoils your enjoyment of the music, it’s still a good listen, plays with no jumps or sticks).
Cover (glossy, gatefold):
excellent
(a few small scrape marks on spine, light corner and edge wear, a few small
light edge creases).
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a
complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.
Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or
records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also
covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no
lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear
and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no
major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the
occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items,
without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably
deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and
contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration,
etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and
displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents
will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise,
etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a
collection-filler.
