Original pressing Jamaican ‘mento’ music from the 1950’s

PLEASE NOTE:

MY SCANNER CAN'T SCAN IN THE GOLD PRINT ON THE DARK GREEN LABELS SO I HAVE LISTED THE TITLES OF THE TRACKS BELOW

MOTL 103 (Volume 3)

Hill And Gully Ride/Mandeville Road/Gal A Gully/ Mathilda medley (Lord Composer & Silver Seas Orch), Maintenanace (Joseph Clemendore), Banana (Cecila Knott)

Noisy Spring  (Boysie Grant), Dry Weather House (Hubert Porter & George Moxey), Blu Lu Lup (Lord Fly), The Old Man's drive (Count Lasher & George Moxey)

An original vinyl copy of a Stanley Motta’s produced 10-inch LP from about 1955.  These LP’s were originally sold with paper covers and large stores in Jamaica like Times Store added their own branded sleeve. Eventually, Motta got covers designed and printed in England.

This LP has no cover as explained above.

See scan for label condition. The B-side label has some sticker damage and sticker residue which you may be able to remove carefully with a mild solvent.

Vinyl is shiny but has many fine surface marks and looks visually a grade VG but plays better

Please listen to the sound files so you can hear the condition then make your own judgement of the grading so that you will be happy with your record.

Please do not pay until an invoice is sent, as I need to adjust postage to make it a fair charge for both of us. I am happy to combine postage for more than one record.

FINAL POSTAGE CHARGES for LP records:

UK (1st Class Signed For – only if total record price is less than £50) = £4.40

UK (Special Delivery if total record price is above £50 for insurance cover) = £7.25 .... That’s what Royal Mail charges from 31st March 2015

Europe (Tracked and Signed For) = £11.10

North or South America, Japan, Australia (Tracked and Signed For) = £14.95 including insurance

Tracked and Signed For services are expensive but postage charges will be based on the cost that Royal Mail charges me to send your record(s).

You will be able to check the actual postage cost paid on the postage stamp when you receive it.

I don’t charge buyers for the cardboard mailers or for the eBay and PayPal fees (approx 15%) they charge me on the postage money.

I hope that you will be happy with your record(s) but if not, please let me know before leaving feedback and I will try to resolve any problems.
