The first issue in the US on the GOLD 'big E' Elektra label.

The DOORS were introduced to Elektra by the brilliant Arthur Lee and LOVE, after they'd toured and gigged together. Oddly, the label promoted their lucky referral way more than they afforded Love, and Arthur and the boys were left somewhat in the shadows despite several great singles and brilliant eclectic psych albums!
The DOORS gained renown very quickly with some landmark unforgettable chart hits, and while Love were hampered by racist attitudes in much of the US, The Doors didn't suffer such indignities.

This is a quality psych record, especially in this condition! Rare US pressing. and in LOVELY shape, the production of course is ASTOUNDING here, as you may already know.
Their records feature such outstanding sound and mixing, making the psychedelic facet of The Doors music stand out to best effect. I don't think any remastering since has surpassed the ORIGINAL....on vinyl at least!
Fantastic West Coast psych on this landmark record album. Imaginative prog music, and really consistently excellent throughout.

CONDITION;
The US pressing is really NEAR MINT shape with TOP shine!

Labels are in clean EX/Near Mint condition, no stickers or tears, an initial on side 1.

The GATEFOLD CARD COVER is VG++, nice flat shape, clean and bright, a respectable example and no separation or splitting. A corner dent to the bottom right, disc insert is on the inside seam.

THE ORIGINAL INNER COMPANY SLEEVE is in excellent condition with no splitting, clearly this archive copy has been handled with great care throughout!
