This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of the third LP by Irish group the Pogues, released in 1988.  One of the group's best, the record came out in a different cover in the U.S., a photo collage of several images of Irish novelist James Joyce with the group members' faces superimposed on all but one of them.  The group's music is typically described as folk-punk (or punk-folk), but the "punk" part is less in their sound -- the high energy of many of their songs excepted -- than in the songs' often politically inflected lyrics and the group members' roots in late '70s punk (notably, vocalist Shane MacGowan fronted London band the Nipple Erectors/Nips).  And there's the fact that the group's name is a shortened, anglicized version of the Gaelic for "kiss my arse."  The jacket has a small tear on the top seam, and is otherwise close to pristine (EX+).  The disc has some fingerprints and light hairline scraping and scuffing, but plays with minimal surface noise (M-).  The record comes with a custom inner sleeve (EX+).

I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.

If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
