I am currently auctioning off some my own personal collection of LP's that I have collected over many years. I will try to be as accurate as possible. Having said that, if you need any more information, contact me. I play check all my records on my vintage Toshiba record player. Oh and please don't ask me to end the auction early.

Okay here it is, what I consider to be the the holy grail of British 60's Psychedelic records, especially in mono. In my opinion it really epitomizes the style of music from this era. The Zombies, Odessey And Oracle very 1st UK Press, from the beginning of 1968, in the very rare and sought after Mono version. With an A1/B1 Matrix it is in Excellent condition. I have seen only one or two of these rare mono versions in the past couple of years and even then they were not in great condition.

NOTES:
Cover laminated on the front only.

"GB" printed on lower left back cover (the letters are at a right angle to other text).

Verulam Music credit on labels at 3-o-clock.

Spine text reads; "CBS THE ZOMBIES - ODESSEY AND ORACLE 63280".

Please read all the descriptions and terms carefully.

The heavy set 1968 vinyl is in overall excellent condition and is still bright & shiny looking. It is one of the best mono copies that I've seen, a real gem. The vinyl has a few faint surface marks. There is certainly nothing feelable. I have played the record through in it's entirety and could only hear a few brief moments of the faintest crackles and static between and during some of the tracks, that was all. It really does not detract from the overall sound of the record. Certainly no more than you would come to expect from any vinyl of this period. I even remember some of the new records I bought at the time having minor interference, early mono records being more prone to this problem. I really do think you would be hard pushed to find a better used mono copy, this one's a keeper.

The labels are both excellent, they are both clean and have hardly any wear at all.

The original CBS inner sleeve is in excellent plus condition.

The original front laminated cover, is overall in excellent condition. There is some very light, minor creasing and a minimal overall wear. There is little to no edge wear and no bad spinal wear, with all the words being perfectly legible. There are no splits, and no major corner wear. The laminate still retains its shiny glossy look all over. There are no rips or tears.  The opening edge is straight with no real deterioration. The only deviation to all this is a small area of wear on the top left, rear of the cover (see photos). It may have had something written on it in the past and then been erased. It's all quite faint and not that noticable, unless you look close up. On the other side on the rear there is what looks to be a very faint label removal mark, again very difficult to see unless you look closely.

Please note: I only send LP's using insured postage. All LP's will be sent in a solid, card box packaging. The cost is £8.70 valid in the UK only. This is by registered/signed for, small parcel postage and is fully insured.
