33 1/3 RPM 16" transcription LP from 1931 or there abouts, probably earlier - Pinafore - Produced by The Potts-Turnbull Company for The Coleman Lamp & Stove Co. - talent By Judson, N. Y., recording by Stanley Recording Company, Distributed by Bureau of Broadcasting

This is a very early transcription record produced for radio broadcasting.  This is an inside start record cut on only 1 side and is made of shellac composite not vinyl. The label offers only the name Pinafore.  In the run off it shows Coleman Musical Program  # 1 - ST 1375 (or 375).  It includes several songs from the Pinifore musical played by the 'Coleman Symphony' orchestra with vocals by Leonard Stokes and Adele Vassa(?) and a Coleman commercial for gas lights and radiant heaters.  I believe the announcer is Alois Havrilla.

It has a large crack and an edge chip but played surprisingly well on my Rheem Director II transcription phonograph using 78 stylus.   It plays at 33 1/3 but is cut at 78 rpm grooves to be played with a wider needle.  The ugly crack makes the record looks to be unplayable but it actually plays end to end very well, light background noise and the crack pops lightly.  The record played the full Pinifore program and only part of the final signoff was unplayable due to the chip.  The record weighs nearly 2 1/2 pounds.

An early shellac radio transaction disk is exceptionally rare and this one plays surprisingly well.  Here is a preview clip of this record on YouTube:
