Up for bid is a lot of 8 picture disks of children's titles. I believe these are from the late 50's and early 60's as the picture is fully encapsulated inside the plastic outer of the record, much like a modern CD.
As I have no equipment to play them I don't know the sound quality and as such they are offered as is. These records were loved and used, however the pictures themselves are astounding, I especially like the western themed records with the circle of brands on the outside of the disk. Also check out the Warner Brothers cartoon style for Workin' on the Railroad, has a real Chuck Jones feel.
Produced in New York by the Record Guild of America, inc.
Titles are (paired per disk):
Red River Valley-- Cockels and Mussels
Erie Canal-- Workin' on the Railroad
The Lone Prairie-- Old Chisholm Trail
Git Along Little Dogies-- Whistling Rodeo Polka
Buffalo Gals-- Old Dan Tucker
Night Herding Song-- Home on the Range
Blue Tail Fly-- Carry Me Back to Old Virginny
Camptown Races-- Little Brown Jug
Thank you for looking.

Q: Do the records appear to have significant surface scratches ? Please detail. Thanks. RichMar-21-15
A: Again, I don't own a turntable anymore so this will be all visual. Keep in mind these were designed to played on one of those suitcase players with a felt turntable by children and certainly were by my sisters and myself.
Anyway, here is what I can see:
Red River Valley -- Cockels and Mussels -- Both sides about the same, light surface scuffing, no major scratches visible, hairline crack from the center hole, minor chips from the outside edge beyond playable area.
Erie Canal-- Workin' on the Railroad -- Canal side in slightly better shape, both have light surface scuffing, no major scratches visible. Closed cracks from the center hole, railroad side crack runs into playable area. Minor chips from the outside edge beyond playable area.
The Lone Prairie-- Old Chisholm Trail -- Both sides about the same, minor surface scuffing, no major scratches visible, no cracks from the center hole, very minor chips from the outside edge beyond playable area.
Git Along Little Dogies-- Whistling Rodeo Polka -- Both sides about the same, minor surface scuffing, no major scratches visible, no cracks from the center hole, shallow chip from the outside edge beyond playable area.
Buffalo Gals-- Old Dan Tucker -- Both sides about the same, minor surface scuffing, no major scratches visible, no cracks from the center hole, small chip from the outside edge beyond playable area.
Night Herding Song-- Home on the Range -- Both sides about the same, minor surface scuffing, no major scratches visible, no cracks from the center hole, outside edge beyond playable area very good.
Blue Tail Fly-- Carry Me Back to Old Virginny -- Both sides about the same, minor surface scuffing, no major scratches visible, no cracks from the center hole, outside edge beyond playable area very good, best looking condition so far.
Camptown Races-- Little Brown Jug -- Both sides about the same, minor surface scuffing, no major scratches visible, no cracks from the center hole, outside edge beyond playable area very good.
