Barbra Streisand Live Concert At The Forum
Beautiful FACTORY SEALED gatefold Columbia store stock pressing with HYPE STICKER reading "Barbra's Brilliant Concert at the Forum" and "A Beautiful Poster of Barbra Included. KC31760."
Includes charting version of the single "Sweet Inspiration" and arguably the best version of "Stoney End" ever recorded.
Record: FACTORY SEALED
Cover: FACTORY SEALED (Three sharp corners completely covered with shrink wrap. Once has just an innocuous tear in the shrink with a little push on that corner. Hardly anything.)
Please check my other items for Beatles-related and other vintage factory sealed LPs priced to sell. I will also be posting a large number of desirable albums for auction with low starting bids.
About Me:
I am in the process of downsizing my very large and extraordinary collection.
I am first and foremost a collector and I only collect records that are genuine VG+ or better. Genuine VG+ records, when properly cleaned, will play like new and have only a few minor superficial surface marks and most of their original gloss. (See grading below.)
I buy far more than I sell, as you can see from my feedback.
Anything that does not meat my high standards for play on my rather expensive system (My Dynavector cartridge was $2500 so I'm not interested in collecting records that could damage the stylus) goes in the trash.
Most are closer to NM or acquired sealed. All records are collection quality (VG+ to NM or factory sealed) unless FLAGGED as "VG subgrade" for a few very rare or interesting collectables. Sub-collector's grade LPs will be very clearly noted and NONE will have scratches that can be felt with a fingernail or manufacturing defects that keep them from playing as expected. .ALL defects will be noted.
Grading: Goldmine standards. Graded under bright halogen lamp. All defects noted if less than NM.
Collector's Quality:
NM = Near Mint record means no marks on the vinyl other than very minor marks that are usually related to manufacuring or storage. NO NEEDLE MARKS or sleeve scuffs, regardless of how benign. No spindle marks around center hole or any markings on the label. "Looks like it was just came from the retail store and opened for the first time." This is rare and overused. Covers have no ring wear, creases, or seam splits of any kind.
EX (VG++) = An exceptional glossy record with only a few very insignificant superficial marks on the vinyl that can only be seen under bright light and will not affect play. Plays flawlessly when properly cleaned. No needle drop marks that reach the first band of music. Looks NM in normal room light. The listening experience is indistinguishable from NM.
VG+ = May show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the sound. This is still a great record that should play flawlessly when properly cleaned. Just a few very superficial marks. No scratches that can be felt when gently tracing a fingernail across the scratch and no more than a few benign scratches. The music is in the bottom of the groove, so these should never create clicks of pops when cleaned. Most clicks and pops on these albums are the result of microscopic dirt particles in the grooves and will be corrected with a proper cleaning (with a wet vacuum cleaning machine or ultrasonic cleaning machine). Maintains most of the original gloss. This should satisfy any collector who wants to enjoy the music. This is the most overused grade on eBay. My VG+ records are guaranteed to play like new when properly cleaned.
Subgrade:
VG = The minor imperfections on a VG+ record are now more prominent and more readily visible. Loss of some of the original gloss. Will have superficial scuffs or scratches that should not affect play when properly cleaned. May have very light scratches that can be felt with a fingernail but will not cause a major distraction. Some will have light surface noise and some scratches may be audible in the quiet passages or in the passages between tracks, but not overly distracting. Still a very enjoyable listen but no collector's quality. Will not cause wear to the stylus. I have very few and rarely sell them. If I post one, it will be clearly noted as "VG (subgrade)."
Although VG- records will play through without skipping and can be quite enjoyable, especially for rare records that one may not otherwise be able to hear, I don't own them or sell them. Anything lower than VG-, is garbage for any serious listener and anathema to a collector.
