"American Top 40 with Casey Kasem" 4 LP record set #842-4 with 12-page radio station playlist (or, cue sheet), from the long-running weekly show hosted by the famous pop music disc jockey, and based on the Billboard Hot 100 weekly chart. Set was produced by ABC Watermark and sent nationwide to stations.
This set is for the week ending April 28, 1984 (as noted on the playlist and shown on each record) and runs four hours, one per record. Playlist contains 8 pages of timed slots with the songs and commercials (2 pages per record), and 4 pages of time segment "pie charts" for each hour, plus a cover sheet that has handwritten notes by station personnel.
Set has been stored for quite some time; we do not know how often it was played after its original airing on a local station, and we have not played the records ourselves. Records appear to be in very good shape with few scratches and scuffs, but they are dusty and could stand a cleaning by someone who knows how to do it. Each record is in its original plastic sleeve; we do not have the original box.
This is a cool look back at the top songs some 38 years ago. (The #1 hit that week was "Against All Odds" by Phil Collins.) Price includes shipping in the U.S.; extra cost for International delivery based on the country. Please send a message if you have a question, and please see our other listings including more American Top 40 sets from 1984.
