All records are carefully packed and sent out in plastic covers. 
I do not ship the records inside the covers as I know this can cause damage.

I use the below grading for the records I sell.

Near Mint - As new with  no faults.

Excellent / EX condition - This will be a really nice example with some light wear only. The disc will look very nice with only a little light surface wear under strong light. A record and cover graded as Excellent will be a nice item for a collection.

Very Good condition - The record will show age wear but will still play fine. The record will have some surface wear and light marks. The cover will have edge wear and some creases. A record and cover graded as VG will not be in bad condition but will not be perfect!

Good / G condition - The cover and disc will show surface wear and some visible surface marks. The disc will still play but will have surface sound and crackle. A cover graded as good will show age wear and storage wear. This will not be a good record or cover for a fussy buyer.

Fair condition - The cover and disc will show much wear and will be more of use as a collection filler. The disc will play with much surface sound  and the cover will look tatty.

Bad / Poor condition - A record and cover graded as bad or poor condition will be in nasty conditions.
I also use a + & - for grades that are a little better or in a little worse condition.
