"‘MG’ is an instrumental album from Martin Gore, one of the founding members of Depeche Mode, who have sold over 100 million records worldwide. Following on from Martin’s collaboration with Vince Clarke on VCMG’s ‘SSSS’ in 2012, MG saw Martin further develop his love, passion and respect for electronic music. Written and produced by Martin Gore, work began on ‘MG’ following the final dates of Depeche Mode’s ‘Delta Machine’ tour in March 2013 at Gore’s home studio in Santa Barbara. The album was released in April 2015. ‘MG EP’ includes two brand new tracks not featured on the main album, along with three brand new mixes. The album’s focus track, ‘Europa Hymn’, gets the Andy Stott treatment (dismantles and rebuilds it into a rugged and frayed analogue jam that sounds somewhere between Musique Concrète, Grime and Industrial music) whilst album highlight ‘Pinking’ is remixed by Martin / Depeche collaborator Christoffer Berg. The final remix comes from Virgil Enzinger for the track ‘Brink'."
