Attention! ALL JIMI HENDRIX COLLECTORS
SUPER RARE EXAMPLE 613-001A COLLECTORS ADVANCE PROMO STEREO copy prduced mainly for FM radio station use any questions are welcome on this
quality Nr Ex `Vault stored` copy
Please note that this
album is complete and original Track UK EXAMPLE 613-001A Records pressing from 81 on the black Track label and is priced for its
rarity and attraction to collectors rather than for its condition, it is 39 years old !
we are selling this as duplicate in our collection to explain Polydor owned the rights to Track who were wound up in 79 and did a limited 1st issue of this classic in Stereo due to demand, this copy still has its original Made in West Germany inner sleeve
the sound quality of these
SUPER RARE EXAMPLE 613-001A presses is superior in our view to the newer reissues but over to the listener....
We have compared the Stereo Mix here with the 50th Anniversary deluxe edition and this is way way better, much cleaner vocal and distinct bass response which is a lot different from the Mono 66 UK release.
A1 B1 original Nr EX vinyl 1st Stereo press very rare in good order
This has a different track listing to the US version and is extremely hard to find in Stereo as only a limited run were produced in 1981 for FM stations mainly only some 2,000 to 3,000 were estimated sold on the UK track label for a very short run
after the distinctive `Polydor Red` Label had appeared.
This is an advance promo copy for DJ and radio stations use as the expansion of FM broadcasting meant Stereo copies were more in demand
these are High in value and much harder to find than the Classic Mono versions which were all the original releases on Track uk as radio stations used AM broadcasts and Mono was prefered for this, the story goes Jimi liked the `Stereo mix` and Chas Chandler pushed the Mono forwards for commercial reasons and AM radio consumption in the 60s
To explain you can limit this further as "Stereo" was being launched as a format in 66 and 67 and later re presses were released in Stereo only..
the original Mono pressing have a "great sound" for us, the US versions are generally poorer quality presses in our experience, its possible that less than a few thousand Track Stereo pressings still exist in playable order now 39 years later...this is A1 B1 so the very very first full priced stereo available on the Classic UK Black Track Label..only a limited short run was made.
Jimis blistering Debut...recorded in London and originall released in Mono London 1967 first on the iconic "UK Black Track label"
This the Original Stereo mix is a great listen if you love the different mixes .
unlike Axis which was released simultanious in STEREO AND MONO, ARE YOU EXPERIENCED WAS ORIGINALLY MONO ONLY.
Please ask Questions on any aspect of this record!
we will try to accommodate...
This vinyl is from a very short run of this amazing Stereo mix in 81 , has * Made in Great Britain * at 6 o`clock on the label. We want to be clear there is no 1966 Stereo from Track UK , this is a great mix and perhaps sounding as Jimi intended , listening to it plays well and real nice separation. Sounds amazing on both decks and its way better quality than the `Stereo` budget release of AYE on Backtrack 10 issue.
Jimi Hendrixs amazing and historic debut album recorded in swinging London 1966/7...Jimi was having a ball being in the centre of the London scene and was blowing away all the competition.
This was recorded October 66 to April
67 in Olympic and De Lane Lea studios in London this was followed up quickly by "Axis Bold As Love" in
the same year as Jimi was required to produce 2 albums for Track in that
year, Jimi was playing and recording in London almost every day so this
was no problem for the experience.
The classics are here and super fresh sound on this great audio copy, Foxy Lady opens and there is no let up like his live shows in London at the time the "100 club" "bag o nails" and the Marquee all were the testing grounds for this amazing debut form the all too short career of Jimi Hendrix
Red House was a staple blues in his live set for most of Jims career Fire, Are you Experienced? all are here...recorded in Stereo and released in Stereo for 1st time here on this original Track UK Press.
Look our other Hendrix items for sale we have a MONO OR STEREO smash hits also on offer they make a great pair! essentially this was Jimis live set on record at the time " a real time capsule"
Photos of Jimis Mayfair London England residence are not included , it is where some of the songs were written though! also the Royal Mail postbox outside Jimis home is where he posted his postcards home to his Dad Al about his success in London 66 and 67.....
This is a "Nr Excellent condition " copy
