Up for auction is a pair of vintage 78 RPM records with radio sound effects - please note that I didn't play these records but they appear to be in excellent, virtually unused condition.
The 1st one is 8 inches across and says "Copyright 1940, Southern Pacific Company" on the label, and the title is "Southern Pacific Railroad Sound Effects.  Side 1 is labeled as Part 1, Californian - Morning Daylight Sunset Limited, while side 2 is labeled as Part 2, Golden State Limited - The Lark Noon Daylight.
The 2nd record is a 10 inch 78 with a custom label from Hollywood Music Company.  It has a date of June 12, 1940 and the title on the A side is Colerado Railroad Sound Effects (typed as spelled on the label) and the B side is the same except Colorado is spelled correctly.  The bottom of the label says "Gaston D. Henshaw, Recording Technician, 6019 Hollywood Blvd, and apparently the record catalog # is HE5407.
This is your chance to own some railroad memorabilia, I am sure these items are rare.
I have plenty of experience shipping records and these 78's will be securely packed and shipped in an oversize box with plenty of packing material.
Payment is due within 3 days of auction close.
