The second and final set by the hot young blues band signed to Chris Blackwell's Island Records back in 1969. This album was produced by the late Guy Stevens and he suggested the unusual name, for which guitarist Micky Moody confesses he has no explanation. Stevens had also suggested such names as Procol Harum and Mott The Hoople, and so 'Moves Of Vegetable Centuries' was just another flight of Stevens' fancy!.
The band was getting into its stride with the addition of sax player Ron Aspery and bass guitar virtuoso
Colin Hodgkinson from progressive group Back Door.
They add a boost to such performances as the Tramline version of Traffic's 'Pearly Queen'
and the old Yardbirds' favourite 'I Wish You Would'. Here is R'n'B Sixties' style with
high energy and strong musicianship  making a splendid souvenir of a bye gone musical era.

One of he rarest of all the Island records. It sold in minute quantities and was soon deleted.
Stereo only. There were no mono releases. This is a first pressing with the fully laminated
sleeve. It has the Senol Printing Ltd. printing credit.
The sleeve has some minor creases but folds No tears No writing.
Strong fully legible spine. No damage to print. So rare like this.(see photos).

The inner sleeve is plain white.

First press matrix marks ILPS + 9095+A+ST and ILPS 9095+B+ST

The labels are in awesome condition with no bleaching of colours and no spindle trails.
Look at the photos to see how good these labels are.

Now for the record itself.  It plays totally silently over the music, a little crackle at the very end. Nothing really.

There are no marks no tics no clicks no repeats no jumps.

I would  grade as Near Mint.

So here we have a first press fully laminated sleeve, first press inner sleeve and first press A B matrix marks  on one of Island's rarest releases.

So there is absolutely no doubt that this is an original  first press of this mega rare blues/rock monster.

The Disc is FULLY PLAY TESTED. NOT JUST GUESSED AT!
