Jimi Hendrix – The Cry of Love.

Stunning MINT- condition of this Hendrix classic on the Track label. UK 1st pressing dating to February 1971.

A stunning copy which has been played only once by its original owner who recorded all his albums on a reel to reel before storing them away.

This is a classic Hendrix album with tracks such as ‘Drifting’, ‘Ezy Ryder’ and ‘Angel’ to name but three.

The ‘Cry of Love’ is arguably Hendrix’s greatest studio album and although it was released after his death (albeit soon after) it sits alongside his other 3 studio albums, ‘Are You Experienced’, Axis Bold As Love and ‘Electric Ladyland’.

Exactly why this album is not available on CD and has never been available on CD in its original format is one of life’s great mysteries. But the fact remains that ‘Cry of Love’ can only be heard and is only available on vinyl.

This of course makes the original Track version of this record highly desirable and a true collectable.

CONDITION

Disc

Visual: MINT

Beautiful pristine vinyl which is totally unmarked. It still retains its factory fresh sheen and looks like it left the shop yesterday. Even when viewed under a halogen desklight nothing is revealed, not even whispy sleeve removal marks. This is as good as vinyl gets. The heavy duty vinyl lies 100% flat on the turntable.

Labels: MINT-

A superb set of unworn labels showing only one light spindle mark to each side.

Audio: MINT

For any Hendrix fans out there, this is a real treat. The audio has all the beautiful analogue richness of the original recording. In my opinion ‘Cry of Love’ is his finest (and rather ironically) most complete studio album. There is nothing to fault the audio, totally undistorted with amazing depth and clarity. Not available on any other format, this is a true audiophile copy which will not disappoint and is a testimony to the sound quality of vinyl. Needless to say the record does not jump or stick.

Cover

EXC+ to MINT-

A superb cover which has been carefully stored for 43 years.

Inner-sleeve Excellent
