SWITCH FROM their beloved Harvest label to Polydor and a new lease of life. Critics argue that this is probably their best, certainly most accessible, album to date and who are we to argue with that conclusion. The music has undergone not so much a major overhaul but more a redefining of objectives. Where they were once content to sprawl and meander through long-in-the-tooth progressive rock tugging at the shirt sleeves of the Moody Blues, BJH have developed a more melodic and straight-to-the-point sensibility breathing new life into tired cliches. Some good tracks here including 'Child Of The Universe', 'Poor Boy Blues', 'For No One' and 'The Great 1974 Mining Disaster'.

This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Superb clean and shiny condition - I would say unplayed! No spindle marks and absolutely no signs of use. Grades as a shop fresh archive MINT!

Cover: Again, no signs of use. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff and square. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 44 years after release - like it walked out of the factory yesterday. Grades as a super strong archive MINT!
