One used 78rpm vinyl 10-inch record by Bill Haleyand the Saddlemen on Holiday # 105 release year 1951
Side A: ROCKET 88 Side B: TEARSTAINS ON MY HEART This is a VINYL record and not shellac; which surprises me seeing it is a 1951 release. It flexes slightly, is thinner than a standard shellac record, and I can shave a tiny little of the vinyl off the edge of the record (not enough to damage the record of course). I also got a 2nd opinion to confirm this is actually vinyl or a version of vinyl; so it must be an early test pressing or early radio station copy (even though it is not marked on the label as a radio station copy as some were).
Vinyl is in VG condition on both sides with only a few minor scuffs and very light scratches Both sides play all the way through without any skips or loud pops and has strong loud sound
Played with a newer 3 mil diamond needle at 3 gram weight
The "Rocket 88" side's label is partially missing due to what I think was water damage
The "Tearstains" side has some slight static during the first few seconds where the vinyl is slightly discolored on this side only (see photo) and has two light 'ticks' near the end of the song; It's label is better but still damaged (see photo)
The label has additional information of: "Mfdg. by PALDA Record Co. Philal, Penna" The 'dead wax' area has "H-105-A" on the A side & "H-105-B" on the B side
Payment is due within 24 hours of auction closing If you have any questions or would like more photos, please ask before bidding
Will be well packaged for safe shipment as I have experience in shipping 78rpm records
