The Beatles - Revolver

This exceptional copy of the Beatles seventh studio album is a complete and original MONO UK 1st pressing on the much sought after yellow and black Parlophone label.

The record features a rejected remix (remix 11) of ‘Tomorrow Never Knows’. This was changed to a latter remix on subsequent pressings after George Martin requested EMI paused production. It is unknown how many remix 11 copies exist.

This copy comes with front-side laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flip-back sleeve with small mono aural signifier to the front side and Dr. Robert misprint to the rear.

The matrix numbers and mother stampers tell us that the vinyl was one of the first few thousand records produced and was therefore probably a ‘day of release’ purchase.

The labels are the first variant which feature silver Times New Roman text and Dr. Robert misprint.

The album is complete with the original polythene lined die-cut Emitex 'protect your records' inner sleeve.

Vinyl: EXCELLENT -
Labels: EXCELLENT -
The labels are bright, clean and without writing. There are only a handful of light spindle marks on either sides and very slight rubbing around the spindle holes.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Superb 'factory-fresh' deep-gloss playing surfaces which only show a handful of light marks in strong daylight. Non are feel-able. Under a strong halogen bulb additional hairline paper scuffs can be seen alongside an iridescent rainbow shine.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT
In spite of the visible marks the heavy weight mono pressing sounds simply superb. There is no sign of groove/play wear. There are quiet lead-ins to both sides and minimal static in between tracks. A really strong example.
Sleeve: MINT -
The original sleeve looks fantastic. The front retains the original lustre. The cover art is vibrant with bright colours. As is often the case, there is a small section of the bottom flip-back missing. All four corners are crisp and sharp. The top, bottom and opening edges along with the spine are without any wear. A final upgrade example.
Inner Sleeve: EXCELLENT
The original inner sleeve is in great condition. It is very clean, without any staining and with minimal creasing. The vinyl is housed inside an audiophile quality, anti-static inner sleeve to help protect and preserve the record and inner sleeve.

The record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer. Non-EU international bidders please get in touch for an accurate postage cost if you do not want to ship with the GSP.
