rare UK first press vinyl 3LP box set released in the 1960s on blue/black "deep groove" COLUMBIA CBS label with catalognumber BRG 72068-9.  This is the early first pressing including the third LP feat. "Two Portraits of Bruno Walter" in conversation with Arnold Michaelis on the occasion of his 80th birthday (A Talking Portrait), as well as with John McLure introducing excerpts from Dr. Walter's rehearsals prior to the recording of Mahler's Ninth Symphony.  The beautiful front laminated box, original innersleeves, booklet and vinyl in pristine NEARMINT/MINT condition - perfect!   Famous Mahler  performance by Bruno Walter conducting the Columbia Symphony Orchestra recorded with superb audiophile soundquality. Compare with the stereo counterpart pressing, and other famous interpretations by e.g. Otto Klemperer, Leonard Bernstein, Rafael Kubelik, Claudio Abbado,... etc.  See photos ...
