For auction is LOREZ ALEXANDRIA's "Lorez Sings Pres," on King 565, MONO, DG, 1958.
SOUND: VG+
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. Overall, the playback is excellent. There is however, a touch of very soft surface noise audible throughout this soft and nuanced performance. Absolutely nothing that interferes with enjoyment! B4, "No Eyes Blues," has a soft tic for a little while... really not too bad, though. The playback isn't perfect, but like I said, overall, it is very, very nice.
VINYL: VG (but see the description!)
There is a short, feel-able scratch in B4, "No Eyes Blues," that results in a soft recurring tic for a little while. I was expecting it to be louder, it really plays better than it looks! I stated that first because, the rest of the vinyl is fabulous! The record would be NM if not for this one, single flaw. The labels are deep-grooved black/silver in beautiful condition, with a single spindle mark on side A.
JACKET: VG+/NM-
The edges and spine are solid and straight. The bottom edge has a touch of wear in a couple small spots. The corners are very nice, with minor wear, mostly in the bottom right. The front and back covers are beautifully clean and unmarked. There is only the most minimal routine wear or aging apparent.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
This is a very desirable record, and a very good value at a starting bid of $10.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
