From the archives of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes this piece of classic UK pyschedelic music history. The Tickle. Subway (Smokey Pokey World) / Good Evening PROMO 45. UK pressing. 1967. Regal Zonophone. RZ 3004. UK psych band, long forgotten, recorded this masterpiece that should have received a lot more attention than it did. Songwriter and guitarist Mick Wayne went on to perform with Junior’s Eyes and play with Bowie. Record in Very Good Plus condition, some minor scratches and scuffs that don’t affect play. Regal Zonophone paper sleeve in Very Good Plus condition. NOTE ON SHIPPING: In these COVID times, there have been problems with international shipping from Australia beyond slow, or no, air mail. I’ve had a parcel to the UK damaged and another that was diverted from air mail to sea mail and, three months later, appears no closer to reaching Europe. Until things improve, I’m shifting to Express Air Mail. More expensive but if you’re bidding for a record you want to enhance the probability of getting it in good order. The other option is for Standard Air Mail but buyer pays for full insurance and the correct value of the record is noted on the customs form, which some buyers have been reluctant to do in the past. Check my other auctions for rarities and extremities including RARE 1950s and 1960s Australian rock and garage singles, LPs, TEST PRESSINGS and ACETATES and so much more.
