BUDGIE – Never Turn Your Back on a Friend 1973 First Press MCA MDKS 8010 Very Good Condition.
Condition is used
Vinyl – Very Good Condition there is one scratch but does not skip or jump and as such there are audible clicks on the quiet passage of Breadfan. I have reflected this in the starting bid otherwise the records plays brilliantly as quoted below in the grading.
Sleeve – Very Good Condition light ring wear on back cover ( See Photographs)
My 50-year-old Record Collection needs a new home.
All vinyl records have been inspected, cleaned and played on an Acoustic Research turntable.
Below is how I have graded them taking some of the relevant points from various record sites.
MINT: In order for a mint record to be considered mint it cannot ever be played, therefore, a mint record cannot be play graded.
NEAR MINT and VG+ A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Any defects are of a cosmetic nature, not affecting the actual playback. In theory, a VG+ record should sound the same as a Near Mint (NM)one. Vinyl surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don’t affect listening.
VG: Many of the defects found in a Very Good Plus record will be more pronounced in a Very Good item. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song’s intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
GOOD: GOOD + A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be played through without skipping, but it will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear.
No smoking household.
