I have come across a collection of records that defy time.

They belonged to a collector who was buying in the mid to late 60's through the 70's and 80's

However his family have said that he didn't own a record player until the mid 80's.

Very strange I know, but what it means is that the early records have in most cases never been played or at the most one play.

Naturally people's tastes in music change and that's why the 80's albums have had more play than the 60's

There are some incredible records in this collection

I aim to release one per day and will list them at 8pm UK time so that they don't get confused with my other listings

I will also be test playing each record prior to listing . My very very careful test play will go undetected however

THE RECORD

THE LABELS

SUPERB TEXTURED PINK 'EYE' LABELS

THE BASE COLOUR IS UNBLEMISHED AND FULLY STRETCHES INTO THE UNWORN SPINDLE HOLE. THE BLACK / ORANGE LOGO AND TYPEFACE IS UNRUBBED AND PERFECTLY LEGIBLE.

THERE ARE ZERO SMALL  SPIDER LINES CLOSE TO THE HOLE SHOWING JUST HOW LITTLE THIS SUPERB VINYL HAS BEEN ON A TURNTABLE

THE VINYL

THE DISC HAS RETAINED ALL OF IT'S ORIGINAL LUSTRE AND GLEAMS LIKE NEW.

IN DAYLIGHT IT LOOKS TO BE FLAWLESS, AND EVEN UNDER INTENSE ILLUMINATION THERE ARE JUST A COUPLE OF NEAR INVISIBLE WISPY HAIRLINES  AND A FEW LIGHT EMBEDDED DULL STREAKS

IT SERIOUSLY LOOKS UNPLAYED

PLAYING THE RECORD

THE LP PLAYS THROUGH BRILLIANTLY ON BOTH SIDES

THE SILENT BITS ARE SILENT, AND THE MUSIC COMES THROUGH CRISPLY AND CLEARLY.

THERE IS NO DISTORTION TO THE SOUND AND NO BACKGROUND CRACKLES OR LOUD CLICKS.

LIKE MOST EARLY ISLAND RECORDINGS, THERE IS JUST A TINY SPECK OF EMBEDDED VINYL NOISE A IN A COUPLE OF THE LINKING GROOVES

ONE OR TWO MINUSCULE SPECKS OF BARELY AUDIBLE STATIC

THERE ARE JUST A FEW TINY AND RANDOM TICS/POPS THROUGH THE WHOLE PLAYTHROUGH

THIS IS A REAL GEM

THE STEREO REPRODUCTION IS JUST PURE FIRST PRESS WITH EVERY NOTE BEING HEARD EXACTLY AS IT WAS INTENDED

IT'S A CRACKING ORIGINAL 1969 FIRST PRESS, AND IN A VERY VERY COLLECTABLE CONDITION

I AM MORE THAN HAPPY TO GRADE THIS VINYL MINT MINUS FOR THE PLAYTHROUGH,
