Powered by eCommercePlayer.com Powered by eCommercePlayer.comRINGO STARR'S SECOND ALBUM RELEASED IN OCTOBER 1970. THE RECORD SOLD VERY POORLY AND COMPLETELY FAILED TO CHART. RINGO HAD DECIDED TO RECORD AN ALBUM OF COUNTRY AND WESTERN TRACKS AND WENT TO NASHVILLE TO RECORD THIS LP. IT TOOK 2 DAYS TO RECORD.
CLEARLY THE RECORD BUYING PUBLIC CHOSE NOT TO ENDORSE THIS CHOICE, AND THUS THIS LP IS NOW QUITE HARD TO FIND, PARTICULARLY IN THIS SUPERB CONDITION
THE RECORDS
THE LABELS
THE GREEN APPLE COLOURS ARE RICH AND VIBRANT. THE WHITE SIDE IS PURE WHITE ALL THE WAY THROUGH TO THE UNWORN SPINDLE HOLE. THE TYPEFACE IS ALL PERFECTLY LEGIBLE ON BOTH SIDES BEING UNRUBBED. THERE ARE NO MORE THAN 1-2 MINUSCULE SPIDER LINES AROUND THE SPINDLE HOLE
THE VINYL
THIS VINYL GLEAMS LIKE NEW AND HAS LOST NONE OF ITS ORIGINAL LUSTRE. THERE ARE NO VISIBLE HANDLING MARKS OR LINES, IT LOOKS AS GOOD TODAY AS IT DID WHEN IT WAS FIRST PRESSED IN 1970
AND ONLY WHEN OFFERED UP TO INTENSE ILLUMINATION AM I ABLE TO MAKE OUT A COUPLE OF TINY WISPY HAIRLINES.
THE TEST PLAY
THE RECORD PLAYS TO NEAR PERFECTION
A CLEAN CRISP AUDIO THAT IS FREE FROM ANY DISTORTION
NO EMBEDDED VINYL NOISE
NO CLICKS OR POPS
NEAR SILENT LINKING GROOVES
JUST THE ODD SPECK OF VERY LOW-LEVEL STATIC IN A FEW OF THEM
THIS AUDIO GRADES MINT MINUS
BUT TAKE A LISTEN AND GRADE IS AGAINST YOUR STANDARDS
THE SLEEVE
SUPERB LAMINATED GATEFOLD INSIDE AND OUTSIDE
THE FRONT SURFACE IS FLAT AND CLEAN
THE LAMINATE IS VERY GLOSSY AND HAS NO LIFT, PEEL OR FLAKE
THERE IS ONBE THIN SCUFF LINE JUST ABOVE THE BOTTOM EDGE
THERE ARE TWO TINY PRESSURE LINES IN THE SPINE. THREE ALONG THE TOP EDGE, NONE ON THE BOTTOM EDGE, AND ONE THUMB LINE NEAR THE OPENING EDGE
THE TOP AND BOTTOM LAMINATED EDGES ARE BOTH UNWORN,AND THE LAMINATED SURFACE RUNS FULLY FROM TIP TO TIP, WITH UNBLEMISHED CORNER TIPS
THE SPINE IS PRISTINE, TOTALLY FLAT AND UNSQUASHED WITH ALL OF THE LAMINATE INTACT, AND EVERY LETTER OF THE TYPEFACE PERFECTLY LEGIBLE. EVEN THE TOP AND BOTTOM TIPS ARE UNRUBBED
THE OPENING EDGE IS RAZOR SHARP AND LOOKS AS GOOD AS THE DAY IT WAS PUT TOGETHER.
THE REAR SURFACE HAS TWO SPIDER STYLE PRESSURE LINES BY THE SPINE AND ONE NEAR THE OPENING EDGE
OPENING THE GATEFOLD ON THE GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE SLEEVE REVEALS ANOTHER PAIR OF MIRROR FINISHED PANELS WHICH ARE JUST HIGHLY POLISHED. THE SLEEVE JUST LIKE THE SGT. PEPPER SLEEVE CREAKS WHEN YOU OPEN IT UP.
THE ORIGINAL PLAIN WHITE INNER SLEEVE IS IN MINT ORIGINAL UNSPLIT CONDITION. JUST PRISTINE
HAPPY TO GRADE THE SLEEVE NEAR MINT
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BID IF YOU CHOSE TO GO FOR IT
