HERE IS AN example of the rare "KALAMAZOO" label. It's yet an even rarer variant* of the few I've seen in decades of collecting.  The "Kalamazoo" make - from Michigan, naturally - was made for only a few years in the first decade of the 20th century, mostly to promote the products of the Duplex Phonograph company.  They produced a double-horn phonograph, which presumably was twice as loud as a single-horn!

The record, No. 351, is of a popular standard: Franz von Suppe's "LIGHT CAVALRY OVERTURE" (1866) by the METROPOLITAN ORCHESTRA.  This horse-galop music is in your DNA! You'll recognize it immediately.

This original ca. 1905 "Kalamazoo" 351 is in about V++ condition.

*All other "Kalamazoo" labels I've seen were monochrome, tan with black printing. This one, as if I needed to point it out, is a bold design, in orange, gold, black and white!

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing!  My highest priority in these eBay auctions is to give you the best possible idea of a record’s true condition and aesthetic value.  I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all.  If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will!  Shipping is done with expert care. Your record will brave Media Mail in a stout corregated box, between four sheets of cardboard and a couple of “packers.”  I hope you are amused by these descriptions, and by the quality of service being offered.
