i HAVE A BATCH OF UNPLAYED ALBUMS FROM THE 1970'S. THSE HAVE JUST RECENTLY BEEN OBTAINED AND I WILL MAKE THEM AVAILABLE IN THE COMING WEEKS. SOME HAVE MULTIPLE COPIES. GOING TO LIST MY FAVOURITE ONE TODAY THOUGH

This album is without question the most magnificent copy i have laid my eyes on. i will go so far as to say it looks like it has just been taken out of the packing box for the first time and the year is 1972
there is not one blemish on it anywhere and the sleeve it just beggars belief

THE RECORD

THE LABELS

THE  CREAM COLOURED LABELS ARE IN MAGNIFICENT CONDITION. THE BASE COLOUR FULLY STRETCHES INTO THE UNWORN SPINDLE HOLES.

THE BROWN LOGO AND BLACK  TYPEFACE WHICH IS OFTEN FOUND RUBBED AWAY IS IN PERFECT CONDITION , WITH EACH LETTER OF THE TYPEFACE PERFECTLY LEGIBLE,

THERE ARE NO SPIDER LINES CLOSE TO THE SPINDLE HOLE.

THE VINYL

THE VINYL IS IN SUPERB CONDITION. IT GLEAMS LIKE IT WAS JUST PRESSED AND THERE IS NO FOGGING OR ANY MARKS EITHER . IN DAYLIGHT IT IS TOTALLY FLAWLESS, AND EVEN WHEN PLACED UNDER A MAGNIFYING LED HALO THERE IS NOTHING TO SEE

THE TEST PLAY

I HOPE YOU AGREE THAT THE REPRODUCTION FROM THIS ALBUM IS JUST BRILLIANT. PURE FIRST PRESS AND THE DISC PLAYS MAGNIFICENTLY ALL THE WAY THROUGH. TRYING TO FIND A GREAT COPY OF THIS ALBUM IS VERY HARD  AND MOST COPIES ARE TRASHED WITH SLEEVES TO MATCH. HERE WE HAVE WHAT I CAN ONLY DESCRIBE AS A  FAULTLESS PERFORMANCE.

THE FIRST THING TO NOTE IS THAT THE SOUND IS DISTORTION FREE

SECONDLY THERE IS NO FRYING BACON OR LOUD CLICKS AND JUMPS.

I DIDN'T EVEN HEAR ANY STATIC AND THE LINKING GROOVES ARE SILENT

NO EMBEDDED VINYL NOISE

NO TICS OR POPS

I HAVE NO HESITATION IN GRADING THIS PLAYTHROUGH AS MINT

BUT PLEASE TAKE A LISTEN AND JUDGE IT FOR YOURSELF, AGAINST YOUR PERSONA; STANDARDS

THE SLEEVE

E.J.DAY GIMMIX SLEEVE

TO FIND A HALF DECENT SLEEVE IS RARE, BUT TO FIND ONE THAT HAS BEEN UNTOUCHED SINCE 1972 IS JUST IMPOSSIBLE, BUT HERE WE HAVE THE BEST EXAMPLE YOU WILL EVER FIND

I WANT TO START TO EXPLAIN HOW AMAZING THIS SLEEVE IS BY TELLING YOU ABOUT THE LOCKING TAB ON THE FRONT. USUALLY THIS IS BENT, WORN, TORN ETC, BUT THIS ONE HAS NEVER BEEN LOCKED. HOW DO I KNOW THIS? WELL THE TAB THAT OPENS UP TO FORM THE LOCKING HOLE IS STILL UNPUNCHED. IN OTHER WORDS IT HAS NEVER BEEN PUSHED THROUGH TO EXPOSE THE LOCKING HOLE. THE ACTUAL TAB ITSELF WHICH LOCKS INTO THE HOLE IS ALSO IN THE AS NEW CONDITION. THE FOLD LINE IS STILL UNFOLDED

THE SLEEVE USUALLY SUFFERS BADLY FROM CREASING AND TEARS TO THE JAGGED OPENING BUT THIS COPY JUST BEGGARS BELIEF

THE FRONT SURFACE HAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT JAGGED EDGES TO BOTH HALVES OF THE OPENING.

THE JET BLACK SURFACE IS JUST PERFECT, NO RUBBING WHATSOEVER, AND THE FOUR CORNERS ARE SHARP AND PERFECTLY SQUARE

THERE ARE NO PRESSURE LINES BY THE LEFT SPINE AND NONE ON THE RIGHT SPINE.

THE TWO SPINES ARE JUST PERFECT. ALL OF THE BLACK SURFACE IS RETAINED, AND THE TYPEFACE IMMACULATE

THE TOP EDGE IS ALSO IN MINT CONDITION. NO LOSS OF COLOUR ANYWHERE, AND THE BOTTOM EDGE WHICH CONSISTS OF TWO BARE CARD EDGES ARE BOTH IMMACULATE, AND THE THIN BLACK FOLD EDGE IS ALSO MINT

THE REAR SURFACE USUALLY SUFFERS RING WEAR AND RUB, IS ABSOLUTELY IMMACULATE

OPENING THE COVER OUT REVEALS TIGHT AND STIFF HINGED CARD SURFACES. THE COLOURS ARE PERFECT AND THE WHOLE OF THE INNER AREA IS TOTALLY MINT

THE LOG BOOK LOOKS LIKE IT HAS NEVER BEEN OUT OF THE SLEEVE

THE  INNER SLEEVE IS FLAT AND CLEAN AND HAS NO CREASES. THERE IS A SHADE OF RECORD SHAPE, BUT TOTALLY UNSPLIT AND STILL WHITE

THIS SLEEVE EASILY GRADES  MINT

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BID IF YOU CHOSE TO GO FOR IT
