Up for bids is a great, rare, mono Jazz LP featuring Tadd Dameron and John Coltrane called "Mating Call". Prestige Records. PRLP 7070. 1957.

YELLOW LABELS WITH "446 W. 50th ST., N.Y.C." ADDRESS ON BOTH!
Both sides' Trail-Off's have the etched "RVG"!
Front of cover is laminated.
BACK OF COVER HAS "447 West 50th St., N.Y. 19, N.Y." ADDRESS, BOTTOM-CENTER.
Record's edges are raised.
Comes with old plastic inner sleeve in VG++ condition (record will be shipped in separate polylined sleeve and outside cover).

NOTE:

The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.

Cover is in VG+ condition. Front has some minor wear and some staining at the bottom-left and right. Back of cover has some wear and some slight browning by the spine. Cover has a slight curve to it. All sides are completely intact! How about that spine photo! No splits anywhere on cover! Strong and sturdy, this is still a prime example of this cover!

I would rate the record’s condition as a STRONG VG+ to VG++. Looks gorgeous with only a couple of superficial marks that do not affect play. A little surface noise between tracks, but not much wear at all! There is one light tick that starts in the middle of "Gnid" and ends at the very beginning of "Soultrane". I can not, for the life of me, visually find a scratch worthy of this tick. There is an extremely faint line that you can only see with a light, but it can't be felt. Could be recorded in. Anyway, it's there. Just being honest folks! Otherwise, labels are clean! Record still overall sounds amazing on my player! GOD BLESS PRESTIGE & VAN GELDER!
