Up for bids is a great, rare, mono Jazz LP by John Coltrane called "Blue Train". Blue Note Records. BLP 1577. 1957.
RARE ORIGINAL PRESSING! This variation was probably pressed around 1959. Still the glory years of Blue Note!!!

DEEP GROOVE PRESSING!

"47 WEST 63rd • NYC" ADDRESS ON BOTH LABELS!
Both sides' Trail-Off's have the "ear" and stamped "RVG"!
"Ⓡ" SYMBOL AT THE BOTTOM OF BOTH LABELS.
Front of cover is laminated.
"47 WEST 63rd St., New York 23" ADDRESS, BOTTOM-CENTER, ON BACK OF COVER.
Record's edges are raised.
Comes with original plain white inner sleeve.

NOTE:

The grades I use are Mint (rarely used grade), Near Mint, VG+++ (rarely used grade), VG++, VG+, VG, VG Minus, Good+, Good, Fair and Poor.

Cover is a STRONG VG+ condition. Front is beautiful with some light wear. Back of cover has some light wear and some browning in spots. All sides are completely intact! One very tight 2 1/2" split on cover's top center. Some minor wear on the bottom by the opening. Cover has a slight curve to it. Strong and sturdy, this is still a prime example of this cover!

I would rate the record’s condition as a STRONG VG+ to VG++. Looks gorgeous with some visual superficial marks that do not greatly affect play. One small scratch at a little into the first track on Side 2 causing a light tick, but does not last long. Also a little surface noise between tracks, but not much wear at all! Record sounds so amazing on my player! GOD BLESS BLUE NOTE & VAN GELDER!
