We pack items very carefully (check feedback) and do not accept returns due to shipping damages. Insurance is not available for USPS First Class International, but is available for USPS Priority Mail International (for most countries). The above mentioned French organization was founded in 1880 by a French Lt. Colonel to bring free education to the pagans of France and her colonies. Note the graphic on the label of a farmer sowing seeds.
Also (barely discernible) on the label is EDEN, which I assume is the record company. EDEN is also printed on the import stamps.
That afore-mentioned farmer must have found this record in the fields, because it's got almost everything wrong with it, except cracks or chips. The 5192 side is the worse of the two, and my needle skipped once towards the end. The 5193 side looks and sounds better. Amazingly, the surface noise on both sides didn't overwhelm the music. The label has handwriting-over-stamped-ink information.
Both sides are French tenor Lucien Muratore --who was also a renowned actor -- with orchestra. The matrixes were recorded by A.P.G.A in Paris, March, 1907.

I can't guarantee the song information is correct, as these labels provide only the name of the opera. Listening, and utilizing my high-school French, I think I got them right.
I slipped this world-weary record into a modified 12" paper sleeve, then slipped that into a collector's sleeve.
NOTE: I DONT GRADE LABELS -- see pictures for that information. I use the eBay record grading system when listing 78's, which is mostly based on visual observation of the wax, shellac, or vinyl. KEEP IN MIND THAT ALMOST ALL OLD 78's HAVE SURFACE NOISE WHEN PLAYED ON MODERN EQUIPEMENT (except the extremely well-made records). It's only distracting surface noise, as well as ticks, pops, clicks or jumps, that may affect grading.
