Public Foot The Roman - Same (Sovereign UK 1973)

Only LP by this band whose odd name apparently originated from an old street sign that read 'public footpath to the Roman road', but had deteriorated to the point only the words the band chose for their name could be read. Musically we are talking melodic progressive rock in the vein of Fantasy, Yes or Wishbone Ash, with some tough guitar and experimentation, but never losing sight of the song or the groove. Obscure and scarce, this record doesn't turn up too often and this copy plays like a dream, pretty much perfect.



Grading

Sleeve: VG+ Some light age wear to edges and spine and a little rubbing on back and front, but still nice.
Record: EX shiny vinyl with few signs of play. A few marks around spindle, but no marks on vinyl. Plays as good as it looks.

M- As new, no marks of any kind whatsoever.

EX Perhaps a few featherlight whispy marks, but no scratches or deterioration in sound

VG+ Some light marks on the vinyl, but nothing that should cause clicks or pops, just occasional light surface noise.

VG Some heavier marks and maybe a few scratches that will cause some noise, but will still be a very enjoyable listen with definitely no sticks or skips or constant surface noise.
