The BEATLES official 1987 USA Capitol/EMI FIRST release of their FOURTH (UK) LP album BEATLES FOR SALE from Winter 1964, all 14 songs, in MONO, “as intended”. This one is produced by George Martin. Fantastic!! As always!! The 33rpm vinyl equivalent to the concurrently released US CDs of the Beatles UK albums, trying to get the whole world in sync with the Beatles UK album catalog!! Another of the worlds most iconic covers on a record album! Robert Freeman shot of the Fab Four in the woods! A beautiful cover! It is graded Goldmine EX. I bought it SEALED, in 1987, but opened it to verify the label style. See photos 5-8! It is Unplayed. Truly Excellent! The UK albums were all remastered for 1987 reissue. And of course remastered again in 1995 and 2012, I think. Classic hits here are EIGHT DAYS A WEEK, I’M A LOSER, ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC, and KANSAS CITY. Of course every song is a classic, even today, over 55 years later. My favorite: WORDS OF LOVE. The Beatles aimed at getting the LP to market following the huge success of I FEEL FINE and SHE’S A WOMAN WHICH reached Number One before Christmas. This album hit the UK market in December ‘64 and was soon Number One, and Beatlemania carried strong into 1965! A year later they had conquered the world!! And 8 songs were originals by Lennon-McCartney, and again 6 were covers of their live act from the past few years (see their Live in Hamburg ‘62 set!). They all still sound so fresh, with Incredible energy from the Boys as they attack your ears with superb melodies and harmonies! This is a beautiful record, quite wonderful sounding!! John was 24, Ringo 24, Paul 22, and George 21 on this album release date, 12-4-64! The cover sleeve is well kept, in plastic sleeve since its purchase in 1987, by me. I quickly learned to handle them as little as possible, especially one of these “new” reissues which I thought would become rarer and greatly treasured!! This is my only one of 7 not Still Sealed!! Read more on “45cat”, my favorite worldwide discography site. Trying to price it is guesswork. Very few are up for sale from 1987!! But I guess the market will tell me what these are worth! This one is quite nice! You decide!! See images, actual sale item, all 8 photos. Seller is 50+ year collector and keeper of all things Beatles related. Shipped with USPS Media Mail and Global Shipping Program. All purchases ship together for $5 total. So browse for others. Price reduces weekly till sold!! Best to all! Beatle Lew.
