BRAND NEW ~ Still Factory Sealed ~ " Encores" 1950's LP with Hyman Gold playing cello ST 2016
Hyman Gold was born in Cleveland, OH on August 26, 1914. A cellist since the age of twelve, Gold attended the Cleveland Institute of Music. He performed with major symphonies and opera companies throughout the country including the New York Ballet, Ballet Russes, the San Francisco Opera Company and the Los Angeles Symphony Orchestra. He has recorded and performed with such artists as Herb Alpert, Ray Charles, Judy Garland, Peggy Lee, and Nat King Cole.
Hyman moved to Las Vegas in the 1970's founding the Las Vegas Pops Orchestra and concentrated on providing free to the public concerts, performing in churches, hospitals and schools. Gold 'n' Cello is his record company and produced this album. He and his wife Sue passed away on the same day, October 17, 2004.
