Details for this item:
The Gatefold Sleeve: - original Garrod & Lofthouse fully laminated and top loading gatefold sleeve with embossed "The BEATLES" text on the front side and numbered "0029194". There is the occasional very light mark on the outside of the gatefold, edges are solid only light scuffing , some light fraying on the top edges. The spine remains rigid with all spine text readable, some of the laminate has lifted.
The condition of the interior of the gatefold is excellent
The Inner Sleeve(s): - 2 original black inner sleeves which have a few tears, edge fraying, and seam splits, as they do! One is torn in the centre
Vinyl housed in replacement inners to protect them
The Labels: - a number of light spindle trails around centre hole on each, all black text upon the dark green Apple background remaining intact, no writing; and the omission of the "An EMI Recording" text on each label - a true indicator of a very 1st pressing (see ref above)
The Lyric Poster and 4 Portraits: - Poster is in very great condition, a few very small handling marks, and the folds nicely intact
The four photos are in great condition with no creasing or tears, nice sheen
The Vinyl: - All 4 sides have many hairlines and surface scuffs, squiggly scratches . They look worse than they play…; plays with no jumps , just has lots of crackle in the run ins, and some clicks and the odd pop etc. here and there probably a G+
The Overall Listening Experience:
Side one: - crackle between tracks and on run-ins, the music comes across well, though nice mono sound
Side Two: - same as side one, accept for there are more clicks than one in quieter bits
Side Three: - again, crackle in the quiet bits, the loud powerful bits sound good though !
Side Four: - Starts off very crackly, a fair bit of background noise, gets better as it plays
overall they are still listenable LPs with a great sleeve , low numbered and accompaniments and original inners
