Pre-war 78 Norwegian folk Xmas CARSTEN WOLL Julekvel 1920's Vocalion 14440 brown   Description Vintage pre-war 78 rpm Christmas record: CARSTEN WOLL - JEG ER SAA GLAD HVER JULEKVELD (traditional) b/w VUGGESANG OM JULEKVELDEN (Christiansen) - Vocalion 14440, brown wax, with "(c) The Aeolian Company 1921" on the labels; I'm 99% sure that "Julekveld/Julekvelden" means Christmas or Christmas Eve. Woll (1885-1962) was a leading Norwegian-American singer and recording artist of the 1910s and 1920s; he recorded many traditional Norwegian folk songs. CONDITION: VG++ (minor scuffing and a couple of very soft, minor scratches; clean labels).
