Jimi Hendrix. Electric Ladyland. UK Track. Double LP. 1st Press Blue Type, Bigger Photos version.

One Inner (098) signifying September 1968 , even though record released in October, 1968. Hence very early version.

Fantastic all round condition. Particularly the 4 vinyls which are graded EX+!!!!!

Vinyl: One owner. Played very carefully. Some spindling, but the vinyl itself looks barely played. Glossy, thick, black vinyl with shop-fresh shine and minimal hairlines. In fact I have held up the 4 vinyls to artificial light and sunlight at every conceivable angle and can see little evidence of hairlines, but all records have some, hence 'minimal'. A small mark here and there, but very thin and in some cases transparent. Please note, I never use the Mint grading. Not even mint minus. But would comfortably grade all 4 sides as EX+!!!

Cover:
Some scuffs when held up to the light. Some laminate creasing on both sides. Some small flaking and spots around the peripheries. The laminate area overall is shorter than the card underneath so around the perimeter there is are thin unlaminated lines. Some creasing and laminate fraying on the inside fold which crackles every time the cover is opened (so not often!). This is almost impossible to avoid on these Hendrix Doubles, so caution advised when opening the cover. Some very small specks of old laminate can be seen to the left of Hendrix's medallion. Small bit of cardboard wear around the openings. That said, a decent copy with a robust, uncrushed spine. Would grade overall EX.

Labels: Some spindle marks of varying degree on each side (see pix). Nice clear type, colour and definition.

Earliest Stampers: Corrected matrices, scratched out numbers in the dead wax (see pix). A1/B1/A1/B1

Inner: Original Patented Polythene Inners. Creased and writing on both. However, one has 98, the other 108, which signifies September (9th month 1968) and October (10 month 1968), making it one the earliest. These are not great condition, but are original and date the LP. And polythene seems to be the reason why hairlines are minimal, so worth keeping.
