** A truly EXCELLENT condition example of the rare and groundbreaking A1/B1 FIRST PRESSING MONO 1967 UK TRACK label debut vinyl LP by THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE - Look at the many photos and check the condition... **
** You are not likely to find a much better example of this 48 year-old vinyl LP. **
An Excellent condition disc. One owner from new. Rarely played. Hardly any surface marks at all on Side 1. A couple of minor surface marks (which do not affect the sound quality) on side 2 (see photos). Lustrous mirror-shiny vinyl on both sides. Superb clean labels on both sides. A few minor spindle marks. Original MONO mixes of both sides. No skips, jumps, warps, writing on labels, or deep scratches to vinyl. Superb clear, deep and punchy mono sound quality throughout, with hardly any surface noise/distortion - which is rare for this album, as most copies have been played to death. Only ever played on top equipment. Tested now on a Thorens turntable.
Album sleeve also in superb crisp condition. Laminated front cover, unlaminated rear. The sleeve has been stored in a plastic outer sleeve all its life, so the lamination is still very lustrous and shiny. "Printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London, W1 Patent Pending". No seam splits anywhere, no fraying to opening edge, no other damage, and very little wear to be seen. Some minor age-related discolouration to rear. Some minor wear to lower spine, but most text still clearly legible, except for "Track 612001" text, which has some wear (see photos). An original shop stock number written neatly INSIDE the sleeve, which cannot be seen from the exterior.
Supplied in original "Plastic bags can be dangerous" inner sleeve, with polythene insert, which is in excellent condition, apart from a small amount of age-related discolouration.
** It would be very hard indeed to find a better example of this rare 48 year-old vinyl LP !! **
Please check out all photos, as they form a part of the description. Thanks.
GRADING:
All records are graded using the UK ‘Record Collector’ format:
MINT (M):
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
