Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:
TITLE & ARTIST: "Son of Word Jazz" - by Ken Nordine Featuring the Fred Katz Group on the DOT Record label (DLP 25096) in beautiful original STEREO sound, issued in 1958.
CONDITION: JACKET - Excellent(This jacket is in "fine" condition, with a light bump to the bottom right corner, some discoloration along bottom seam, ring and age wear to back cover (NOTE: Includes the original Dot Inner Sleeve) - please see actual album in photos); VINYL - Near Mint(Vinyl is glowing and pristine - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight).
SPECIAL FEATURES: Extremely rare original 1958 Stereo pressing (with original "Stereophonic sticker on front) of Ken Nordine's legendary "Son of Word Jazz" album, his second on the DOT label; this record features some of Nordine's most unique offerings, including "Outer Space", plus nice liner notes by the artist himself and superb deep-groove DOT stereo vinyl; if you don't know Ken Nordine, you will love him by the end of this album; if you know him and don't own this record, don't wait a second to grab it; if you enjoy entertainment that comes from the very heart of all that's good about the amazing '50s, then please don't miss this one - a great pressing at a great price.

OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
