Offered here is the two-record album, H.I.F. Biber (1644-1704) ROSENKRANZ-SONATEN (Sonatas of the Rosary / Sonates du Rosaire) - Archiv Produktion 198 422/23 Germany 1967, 1st Pressing, the original version. This is not the later re-issue.

 

15 sonatas based on the Mysteries of the Rosary - German Baroque

 

Recorded Studio Wien-Film, Rosenhügel, Wien (Vienna), March 17-23, 1967, performed on period instruments.

Unlaminated cardboard double fold-out sleeve.

 

Extensive and detailed liner notes in German and English.


Reflective silver-grey labels with blue and black print, blue rim around the edge denotes this is the original 1967 version.

Other indications that this is the original version: the large Archiv logo with the series in the upper right hand corner.

 

Condition of both vinyl records is Excellent, both play-graded and visually. These two records have been vacuum cleaned and play-graded for this ebay auction with a Denon DL-110 MC cartridge -- all four sides have superb sound.

 

Condition of the cardboard double fold-out sleeve is Good, not perfect, with only very minor wear from gentle normal handing and storage. Very clean, No writing, no rips, no stains.

 

The paper sleeves with clear plastic windows are original and are in Very Good condition.

 

No odors of any kind.

 

Records and the box will be well packed and shipped in a custom corrugated box that is more protective than the usual LP shipping box. To be shipped via USPS Parcel Select Ground, and not Media Mail.
