Sierra Night Riders Metal acetate Demo 12" 78 This is a one of a kind live radio broadcast from radio station KSRV from Ontario Oregon. This unrecorded Western Swing Country band played several songs live, with a lot of interviews by the local dj along with chatter from the band members. These songs were probably played and broadcast in the late 1940s.
There are no matrix #s In dead wax and no info on the old sleeve. One side has writing #2, and other side #5. This is certainly a priceless one of a kind demo acetate, which is the only way it can ever be heard. These recording have never been preserved or heard anywhere else.
The demo acetate is in VG+/VG++ condition. There is a little distortion in a few spots and it may skip a couple of times because the grooves are so tightly knit. Both sides play from the inside out, and quite long recording. It must have stood in 4 Star studio warehouse untouched and unplayed for over 70 years.
