Horace Silver Quintet 6 Pieces Of Silver LP Blue Note BLP1539 MONO 1956 Lexington
Vinyl: VG side one has some hairlines, light scuffs, plays with a light surface rustle here / there (more noticeable on track 2 “Shirl” which is a little lighter more with more space, but overall plays well on the stronger side of VG. Side two has a much more noticeable scuff about an inch or less between track 1 and 2. Not a scratch and not deep, but visible. Side two plays similar to side one with a few light tics here / there, never loud or overpowering. Not mint, but a nice VG and a wonderful play copy of a RARE original from 1956! Not easy to find!
Jacket: VG+ has some shelf / age wear and a faded inspection stamp on back of jacket (see pictures), but for its age it really holds up. No writing, seam splits, stickers etc. Spine is blank (like most of the very early originals). Really nice jacket!
Both labels have a sticker with a previous owner's name (see pictures).
Blue Note BLP 1539. Mono. 1st Press / Original. 1956. “RVG” and “ear” in dead wax on both sides. Rare LP!
